Exhortation 30

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

I was re-reading Vinson Synan’s book Under His Banner: History of Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Copyright in 1992 published by Gift Publications, Costa Mesa, California 92626. Chapter Five called “A Nationwide Movement” explains how the Fellowship was neither national nor international but rather consisted of a total of one chapter, meeting weekly at Clifton’s Cafeteria for that first year of 1952 until the healing evangelists of the day—Tommy Hicks, Oral Roberts and William Branham—who were holding large crusades around the country began asking the attendees if they wanted to start local FGBMFI chapters. “…early in 1953 at the end of a Tommy Hicks crusade in Sioux Falls, South Dakota…At the close of the last service, Hicks had asked …men who were interested in forming a local FGBMFI chapter to ‘come down to the front.’ To his surprise, ‘it looked like the whole room came forward….’”

“The popularity of the healing evangelists [in the 1950’s] and their support of FGBMFI led to ever more explosive growth for the Fellowship.” p. 60

We all believe we are living in the end-times and that Jesus is returning soon for His bride. Let us work together in the great harvest using the tools the Lord has given us including the Vision the Lord gave Demos in reaching the whole world through business men. We are advertising the Healing Crusade on 2 TV and 2 radio stations which reach a 200 mile radius. To encourage you all to come let me tell you about my experience at a charismatic church on Sunday December 2, 2007 where there were 500 people attending.

About 10 received Christ, 50 received the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, over 100 came forward for healing and about 30 were slain in the Spirit.
